Kate thought I was cold so she covered me with every blanket and pillow she could find. I was warm....very warm.

45: 365 (Feb 14)

Happy Valentines Day!
Grace wanted to have "heart" hair....we both were very happy with how it turned out :).

Kate was a goof ball and wouldn't smile for me AT ALL!

44: 365 (Feb 13)

Luke's new trick. He will not hold his cup if he doesn't have too.

43: 365 (Feb 12)

Bowling night! We were gifted 3 games of bowling for all 5 of us. We had a great time!

42: 365 (Feb 11)

Grand Prix Races! We had so much fun. Jared agreed that next year he will be involved with helping the girls with their cars. They both made it to the 2nd (of 3) rounds so that was exciting but just didn't stand up to the faster cars. Kate kept saying, "I didn't get a trophy", but was happy that she got a ribbon! Grace was also hoping for a trophy but is pretty happy with her ribbon because their cars were made by them. They designed them and painted them all on their own. Kate named her car "Fast Car". I asked her what Grace's car was called and without skipping a beat she smiled and said, "Slow Car". We never got to run the 2 cars against each other but it is probably better that way.

39: 365 (Feb 8)

Grand Prix trials. The girls painted their cars. We got the tires laced with graphite for added speed. The cars were weighed and the appropriate weight was added. We will have to see how they race on Saturday. Kate's car seems to be a bit back heavy. Grace's car got faster as she did her trials tonight.

36: 365 (Feb 5)

The sunlight was great. Kate and Luke were still in their clothes from church and I had my camera...lucky kids :).
My pretty little Tater

My handsome little Lukey

Kate wanted me in the picture...it was our best one using the timer.

Kate wanted to wear my glasses...she looks SOOO different!

35: 365 (Feb 4)

We continue to have great weather and as soon as I mentioned "going for a walk" I had 2 kids (Grace and Kate) both saying they wanted to hold Honey's leash. So what do you do with 2 kids wanting to hold the leash, a baby in the stroller and a dog that is MUCH to powerful for a little to hold if a squirrel is to be chased.....you put 3! leashes on the the dog. One for Grace. One for Kate. One for me. It was the slowest, craziest walk we have been on but we got some fresh air :).

This is the only way Kate thought she could play with her Little People without Luke "wrecking her neighborhoods".

33: 365 (Feb 2) Frost.

The weather in Wisconsin has been so wonderful. The snow is melting and yesterday it was over 50 degree's outside! Today we woke up to fog and a beautiful frost covering every branch of every tree. I am used to seeing ice covering branches but not this bumpy, spiny looking frost. It was beautiful.

32: 365 (Feb 1).....

I will have to figure out if I even took a picture this day. Hopefully my phone will have a picture of something...anything....

31: 365 6th Grade Band

Jack had his 1st band concert...oh the memories.
This was my 8th grade graduation...ah the memories :).

I was thinking that we might want some ear plugs for Luke and Kate as not not damage their growing ears :). I was pleasantly surprised! They actually sounded pretty good considering they picked up their instruments at the beginning of the school year. The new band teacher seems to be doing an awesome job and the kids seem to really like him.
Jack's 6th grade band...Jack is standing in the back on the left.

Jack getting his music ready for the next song.
The highlight of the night was when the parents had to play their childs instrument for 3 songs. Earlier in the quarter Jack had to be the teacher and Jared the student. Thank goodness Jack chose to play the bells. It was pretty easy for Jared to pick up that instrument...although, he had a great time teasing Jack that he was going to play crazy and at the wrong times and wave to Jack. Jared behaved himself and Jack was very proud of his mad bell skillz.

Jared's 1st band concert, also!
